MWC 2017 – What we’re interesting in seeing this year!

TechComms are very excited to be attending Mobile World Congress (MWC) next week. For us, MWC is one of the most influential shows of the year, dictating the mobile industry trends for the next 12 months. A must attend show for anyone working in the industry, we are looking forward to seeing the latest innovations and meeting with the leaders in this space.

At TechComms we work with several clients in the mobile industry and this year we will be representing one of our clients Brite:Bill, an Amdocs company that provides a customer-centric bill presentment and communications software which enhances the existing billing systems of Service Providers and greatly improves online interactivity and customer experience. Brite:Bill will be exhibiting at the show in hall 5, stand #5K21, so please pop by to say hello!

As several trends start to emerge ahead of the show, we can get an idea of what is likely to impact revenue and strategy for the year ahead. We are particularly interested in major trends identified by an Ovum preview whitepaper such as the increased focus on IoT, chatbot apps and digital payment and retail banking technology. Ensuring that we take full advantage of the extensive MWC programme, we will be taking the opportunity to further develop our skills by spending time in the following zone pavilions in the main exhibition areas: NFC & Mobile Money, Internet of Things (IoT) and Innovation City (mobile-connected products). In taking the opportunity to listen to the leaders that are driving innovation in these areas, we can take our key learnings back to our clients.

The mobile industry continues to develop at an incredibly fast pace as consumers continue to expect more from their providers. But with that comes many opportunities for growth, which will be highlighted in the MWC programme.
