STRATEGY

TechComms developed a comprehensive PR and media relations strategy that would promote and drive interest in attending Uptime’s first UK event – UptimeLive – and also elevate the company’s brand.

To achieve maximum exposure, TechComms proposed a strategic PR and communications plan which focused on developing compelling messaging for their target audience, a well-crafted media pitch and press release to achieve the following objectives:

  • Announce the UptimeLive event and highlight how the event stands out from other industry events to key channel influencers.
  • Secure press coverage opportunities in leading channel and business computing publications.
  • Secure media interviews – both written and podcast interviews.
  • Create an organic social media toolkit outlining a calendar for promotional posts to include content for Uptime social accounts, content for employees to share (supporting employee advocacy) and posts for sponsors to share on their own socials in the lead up to the event.

RESULTS

The TechComms media pitch and press release were distributed to key Tier 1 and Tier 2 channel and business computing influencers. The team secured seven pieces of coverage in less than 5 weeks.

53 brand mentions and 10 backlinks in Tier 1 publications were attained.

TechComms exceeded projected deliverables by securing four interviews in key media targets, including Microscope, Digitalisation World, EM360 and Tubblog. Additional coverage about the event was published in MSP Show. Channel Futures and International Accounting Bulletin also published thought leadership pieces around topics such as the growth in MSP outsourcing services.

The team created a series of organic social LinkedIn posts to help promote and celebrate the UptimeLive event and showcase the press coverage secured to a channel focused audience.

The social posts garnered over 200 engagements and over 20 reshares
