20th Year Reflections
Q&A with Senior Account Manager, Avani Gill
When did you first become part of the TechComms world?
In January 2022
How did you first meet Rahme or start working with TechComms?
I first met Rahme at a wedding, where we happened to be sat next to each other. At the time, I was thinking about pivoting from PR into coding, as I’ve always had a real love for technology. Rahme asked if I would be interested in learning about TechComms and interviewed me on Boxing Day, and the rest is history!
What is your favourite TechComms memory?
One of my favourite memories has to be our social at Monopoly Lifesize. It was such a wonderful Christmas experience, and one of those moments where you really appreciate the team and the memories we’ve created together. I still have my secret santa Xmas mug!
What’s the funniest or most memorable moment you’ve had with the team?
One of my favourite TechComms memories has to be our first trip to MWC. What an event! It was such a great experience because we got to see all the hard work we’d put in with our clients come to life, meet people from across the industry and experience the energy and excitement of MWC.
What has working with TechComms taught you?
It’s taught me that being adaptable is key to delivering a successful project. Things can change quickly, and being able to think on your feet, find solutions and, most importantly, make things easier for the client is so important.
What’s one thing about TechComms that hasn’t changed?
We’re relentless. We always try to go above and beyond for our clients, and that’s something we don’t compromise on. No matter how much the company has evolved, that commitment has always remained the same.
If you had to describe TechComms and Rahme in three words, what would they be?
Driven, confident and resilient
What do you think has enabled TechComms to reach 20 years?
I think it comes down to the people and, the relationships and the ability to evolve. TechComms has never been afraid to adapt, embrace new technology and find better ways of doing things, while always keeping the client at the heart of everything. Rahme’s drive and ambition have also been a huge part of that journey.
What would you like to say to Rahme on TechComms’ 20th birthday?
Well done on such a remarkable achievement. Twenty years is an amazing milestone and a real result of your drive, vision and determination. Here’s to the next 20 years!
