Rahme Mehmet

Founder and Managing Director

Rahme is the founder and managing director of TechComms.  With over 15 years’ experience in the technology communications sector, Rahme has worked with leading technology clients across the globe, including Polycom, Easynet Global Service (acquired by Interoute), Google Enterprise, Motorola Networks, Adobe, Avaya and Ingenico. Rahme has solid experience in creating, directing and managing strategic communications campaigns for technology clients in a variety of sectors including cloud, mobile, mobile marketing, telecoms, IT services, enterprise software and services and retail technology.  

Having started her career as an IT research analyst for a global analyst firm, Rahme has strong practical analyst expertise and always seeks opportunities to support business growth through engaging with this influential community.

Rahme’s extensive contacts in the media and analyst community and knowledge of PR and AR best practice has helped achieve consistently high results for her clients.  Her successes include creating campaigns to gain press coverage in national titles including The Telegraph, Financial Times and BBC Click and trade publications across business and vertical sectors, and coverage in influential analyst reports including Gartner, IDC, Strategy Analytics, Juniper Research and Analysys Mason.

 

 

George Malim

Content Creator

George is a content creator at TechComms and primarily works across all clients.  He trained as a journalist and worked as a reporter on a fortnightly telecoms industry tabloid and as features editor for a monthly telecoms magazine. George has worked as a freelance journalist since June 2001 providing copy to a variety of B2B magazines, predominately in the telecoms and internet sectors. These include Communications Week International, Mobile Europe, Global Telecoms Business, IoT Now, Zero Downtime and Capacity to name just a few.

George also serves as a freelance managing editor of VanillaPlus and IoT Now and the contributing editor to TotalTele.com. George is well versed in exactly what content the mobile and telecoms software media want and how to produce top quality press materials for immediate media pick up and coverage.

In addition, showcasing his wide industry expertise and knowledge, George provides a range of corporate editorial and media services for companies, including AT&T, BT, CA Technologies, CitiBank, CTI Group, Ericsson, Inmarsat, Microsoft, Oracle and Orange.

 

Ian MacArthur

Brand Strategist 

Ian is a highly-experienced brand strategist with 25 years’ experience and over 10,000 projects under his belt.  Ian has been a part of the TechComms’ team since April 2016 and also holds a number of other senior consultancy positions. 

His experience has covered every sector including some of the world's most successful brand and beloved causes. Clients include global technology providers, leading FMCG companies and innovative financial institutions among others. 

Ian combines leading edge commercial experience to help those who need their investment in brand to create a better return for the organisation. His work has won a haul of awards for design, marketing, content and social media and as such he's been recognised by the HOT100 and The Digerati as one of the most influential people in the UK digital community. Ian has also recently completed his tenure as an Exec Board Member of the British Interactive Media Association.

Amjad Khan

Senior Associate Communications Consultant

Amjad has over 18 years' experience working for technology PR agencies, client-side and freelance.  He has created and implemented communications strategies for clients, including Polycom, AsiaInfo, Convergys, Esri UK, Sage Group, Good Technology and Telefonica Europe.  His work has covered many technology sectors including fixed and mobile telecoms, financial services, e-commerce, I.T. services, digital, telecoms, hardware and software.

His client-side experience includes working for Amdocs, where he managed AR globally for the OSS Division. In this role he achieved a consistently positive profile for the business in analyst coverage. Previously, he was the Media and AR Manager at Global Crossing, where he managed European press and analyst relationships.

Amjad has a background in working for leading technology PR agencies where he developed and implemented AR strategies for Vodafone, CSC, Hewlett-Packard, GXS, Sun Microsystems, AMD, Staffware and Sony Professional.

He started his career as a PR consultant working on PR campaigns for Kodak, Motorola, De La Rue and Verifone. 

 

 

Lisa Perry

Communications Consultant

Lisa joined the TechComms team in the summer of 2016 as a communications consultant and works across several of our technology accounts.

Lisa has over 15 years’ experience in the communications industry. Prior to joining TechComms, Lisa held several senior EMEA communication in-house manager roles at international technology companies, including Polycom, Sony Ericsson and Lexmark International. Lisa has an extensive skillset in leading communication campaigns on a global, regional and local level in both a business to business and business to consumer capacity.

Lisa is experienced in creating strategic communication programmes, including PR, AR, internal communications, executive communications, event management and social media. She is also adept at negotiating and managing client, media and analyst professionals of all levels, from ground floor to C-level and serves as a trusted counsel to our clients.

With extensive media and analyst contacts in the technology field, some of Lisa’s best coverage successes include The Times, BBC Click and CNN and trade coverage across business, technology, finance and vertical titles.

He combines leading edge commercial experience to help those who need their investment in brand to create a better return for the organisation.

Ian has been recognised by the HOT100 and The Digerati as one of the most influential people in the UK digital community and has recently been appointed an Exec Board Member of the British Interactive Media Association.

 

 

 

Christine Horton

Content Creator

Christine recently joined TechComms as a professional content creator and has a strong insight into the IT industry, covering various technology areas. With 19 years’ experience in B2B publishing, specialising in telecoms and IT, Christine knows exactly what a journalist is looking for. She writes about tech from a business perspective, specialising in sales and has covered the IT channel in depth for the past 10 years.

Christine launched the industry’s first website-only resource, Channel Pro, in 2009 and is now a regular contributor to the publication. She also contributes to Microscope and Channelnomics US, and has sat on the judging panel for the UK Cloud Awards.

Christine also produces broader IT and cloud-focused news and features, as well as case studies, blogs, whitepapers, by-line articles and eBooks covering a range of business tech.

 

Rosalia Ferraro

PR and Marketing Account Co-ordinator

Rosalia joined the TechComms team as a PR and marketing account co-ordinator in November 2017. In this role, Rosalia supports the team with media monitoring, reporting and identifying opportunities for our clients. Prior to joining TechComms, Rosalia spent a year working as a marketing assistant for Rox PR in Brighton.

As a recent Business with Marketing graduate from the University of Brighton, Rosalia was able to further develop her personal, academic and professional skills through her studies. With a keen interest in digital and social media marketing, Rosalia is also skilled in web design and creating content for social media which she has worked on in the past to enhance companies brand recognition.

Alison Shepherd

Communications Consultant

Alison has worked in IT and Telecoms for over 18 years and has a wealth of PR and AR experience from an agency and in-house perspective. She has worked across a variety of sectors including mobile, security, hardware and software and has also managed campaigns in verticals such as Utilities and Government.

On the agency side, Alison has worked for Weber Shandwick, Nelson Bostock Communications, Harvard and Sunesis AR. Clients have including Azzurri, CSC, Compaq, Fiberlink, Finjan, HP, Sunrise Software and Vodafone.

Her work has involved leading Media and Analyst tours, implementing social media campaigns and writing press releases, newsletters, case studies and bi-lined articles. She has also managed product launches and prepared clients for media and analyst interviews.  

Coverage highlights have included case studies published by analyst house Ovum and articles in National media and trade press such as the Financial Times, Computing and PC Pro.

Alison has worked in-house in the press office at Vodafone working daily with journalists and analysts, resulting in excellent Industry contacts. As well as managing queries and acting as a company spokesperson, her responsibilities included developing communications strategy and organising briefings around business developments and product launches. She also focused on ensuring that analyst houses included Vodafone’s key messaging in reports read by journalists and customers.

A keen writer, Alison started her career at Virgin Media (formerly NTL) working as part of the Internal Communications team, writing the internal newsletter and contributing to other employee communications.
